Alex Coppa Commits to Park University Men's Basketball
Alex Coppa's Path to Commitment
Alex Coppa, a 6'6" wing forward hailing from Melbourne, Victoria, has officially committed to Park University to play men's basketball. Known for his defensive prowess and tireless work ethic, Alex has become a well-regarded figure on the court. As a proud product of the Wonthaggi Coasters and Gippsland United, his journey reflects the collaborative efforts of his local clubs, schools, and the broader basketball community.

Alex's reputation as a competitive and team-focused player was further solidified during his recent performance on tours through Kansas City and Tulsa in the NXTPro and Pro16 League. These experiences helped him grow significantly in understanding the game and honing his skills. His maturity and on-court presence made him a natural fit for Coach Jason Kline's team at Park University.
Joining Park University's Esteemed Program
Park University's men's basketball program competes at the NAIA level in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC). Under the experienced leadership of Head Coach Jason Kline, who is entering his 21st season at the helm, the team has built a solid reputation. In recent seasons, Park has shown strong performances, such as a 17-12 overall record in the 2024-25 season. As Alex steps into this established program, he joins a team with a tradition of excellence and a competitive trajectory in NAIA basketball.
AUSA Hoops takes pride in being a part of Alex's journey, supporting him alongside the many teams and individuals who have contributed to his success. As he embarks on this next chapter with Park University, the entire community stands excited to see his continued growth and success.
