Andreas Grubisa's commitment to Northeastern State University is the latest stride in a noteworthy junior basketball career that began in Western Australia. A standout player with the Perry Lakes Hawks club in Perth, Andreas has shown remarkable growth, transforming from a talented junior player to a notable scoring threat.

His journey includes successes such as competing in WA state teams, earning a bronze medal at the U18 nationals and a silver at the U20 nationals. More recently, he demonstrated his scoring prowess with a 40-point preseason game that drew attention within the NBL circles.
Andreas's father, Jeff Grubisa, expressed his delight, saying, "What a journey it's been! Four years ago Andreas dared to dream of playing US college basketball and he has worked hard to make his dream come true. We're so happy for you Andreas, this is your moment, you earned it, now go and live it."
Northeastern State University: A Track Record of Success
Northeastern State University’s men’s basketball team competes in NCAA Division II within the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). Guided by head coach Ja Havens, now in his fifth season with the RiverHawks, the program boasts a legacy that includes a Division II National Championship in 2003 and multiple NCAA tournament appearances.
Under Havens' leadership, the team has seen significant progress. Before joining NSU, Havens achieved a notable 131‑74 record at East Central University, collecting several conference titles. His impact is mirrored in the team's offensive strength, ranking high in scoring and shooting percentages.

Coach Ja Havens, welcoming Andreas to the team, highlighted his attributes, stating, "Andreas is an elite shooter with great positional size. He will impact our program as a versatile scorer and defender who plays with toughness and competes at a high-level. We are excited to have Andreas join the RiverHawk family."
