Gabbi Huddlestone Heads to Dodge City

Gabbi Huddlestone, a standout player nurtured through diverse basketball experiences, has committed to join the Dodge City women's basketball program. Her journey is backed by years of development in various junior clubs and school teams, in which Gabbi has honed her skills as a competitive and athletic guard wing.

AUSA Hoops and Community Support

AUSA Hoops, one part of Gabbi's supportive community network, played a role in her college basketball pathway. Through their program, she demonstrated exceptional athleticism, notably in transition play, and consistently supported her teammates on and off the court, as emphasized by AUSA Hoops Coach David Herbert:

"Gabbi's athleticism is genuinely special and it shows up most in transition, where she makes herself first down the floor every single time. That's already a weapon. Add to that how she carried herself with our group, supporting her teammates on and off the court every day of the tour, and you've got a player who is ready for a college environment. Dodge City are getting someone with real ceiling and the habits to reach it."

The Dodge City Program

Gabbi is set to join the Dodge City Conquistadors (Conqs) women's basketball team, which competes in the NJCAA Division I within the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) in Region 6. Under the adept leadership of Coach Landon Steele, who has been at the helm since the 2021-2022 season, the program has seen rapid ascension. Steele has achieved a record of 133-35, guiding his team to four consecutive NJCAA Division I National Tournament appearances.

In the 2024-2025 season, Dodge City reached their first-ever Final Four, also clinching the KJCCC regular-season title and the Region 6 championship with a historic 31-5 record. Landon Steele remarked on Gabbi's commitment, "We're thrilled to welcome Gabbi to Dodge City. She's athletic, she competes, and she plays with a motor that lifts everyone around her. She has all the intangibles we look for in a player and we have no doubt she's going to be a leader for this program from day one."
