Izaak Crane Joins Mount Aloysius Men's Basketball
Izaak Crane, a promising 6'7 wing forward, has committed to play for Mount Aloysius College's men's basketball team. Izaak, who hails from Australia's Bulleen Boomers, stood out during the summer's NXT Pro and Pro 16 arm tour, making notable impressions both in Richmond, Virginia, and College Station, O'Brien, Texas.

AUSA Hoops proudly supported Izaak in this phase of his basketball journey. However, his path to Mount Aloysius College was the result of efforts from a wide community, including junior clubs, coaches, his family, and various programs.
About Mount Aloysius College Basketball
Mount Aloysius College competes in NCAA Division III, specifically within the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). The team's current head coach, Pat Martinelli, took charge in April 2026, succeeding Marcus Thomas, who led the program for five seasons. In the 2024-25 season, the squad had an overall record of 7-18 and a conference record of 5-11.
Although the Mount Aloysius basketball program has yet to secure an AMCC tournament title or appear in the NCAA Division III tournament, the addition of Izaak Crane, along with five other Australian recruits, signals exciting potential under Coach Martinelli. With a young and talented roster, the future at Mount Aloysius looks promising.
As Izaak continues his basketball career in the United States, we celebrate his dedication and the broader Australian basketball community that has supported his journey so far. This move to Mount Aloysius represents another significant chapter in his sporting achievements.
