In an exciting step forward for her basketball career, Lucy George has committed to join the Tusculum University women’s basketball program. This Australian talent, known for her aggressive play style as a combo guard, will be playing at the NCAA Division II level, competing in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC).

Lucy, a standout player with AUSA Hoops, has successfully navigated the challenging transition from finishing school to securing a college basketball scholarship in a remarkable timeframe. Despite starting her search after completing her schooling, Lucy impressed college scouts during her time with AUSA Hoops on tour in 2026. She caught the attention of Tusculum’s coaches during the Run for the Roses tournament, and they continued to follow her performance across multiple events.
This opportunity is more than just a testament to Lucy's skills on the court; it highlights the seamless collaboration within a broad community that includes her junior clubs, schools, family, and numerous coaches who have supported her along the way. Under the new leadership of head coach Tandy Bradford, appointed on May 5, 2026, the Tusculum women’s basketball team looks forward to improving its performance after a challenging previous season. The Pioneers, who compete in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC), recently faced a tough 2025-26 season, finishing with a 2-26 record. Coach Bradford, the 18th head coach in the program's history, is tasked with revitalizing the team and building on their strengths for future success.
