This exciting development is a testament to Mannie's hard work and determination, as well as the support he has received from a wide community throughout his journey.

A Rising Star from Queensland
Hailing from Queensland, Mannie is a graduate of Cleveland District State High School. He was a standout player in the Australian National Schools Championships last November-December, leading his team in scoring and rebounding. His performance at this level has been a key factor in his recruitment by Cochise College.
Mannie's basketball journey began with the Red City Raw under-18 boys team, where he helped his team win a silver medal in the SQJBC competition. More recently, he showcased his talents with the North Gold Coast Seahawks in the NBL1, further demonstrating his ability to thrive against professional and semi-professional competition.
Gary Quin, Mannie's father, expressed his deep gratitude for the support received along the way, especially highlighting the role of AUSA Hoops: “Wow... Mannie is on his way..! Mannie has secured a Scholarship with Cochise College, Arizona. His dream is fast becoming a reality, with Mannie's successful win of a scholarship to further his Basketball career. I must admit, Jordan and the AUSA Hoops Crew have been awesomely instrumental in Mannie's accomplishment to date. As a father and proud Advocate, I have a big Thank You and a deep gratitude for the Skill, Honesty, and Integrity of Jordan and the crew at AUSA Hoops in being a great help to the further achievement of Mannie's Basketball Desires.”
Joining a Strong Basketball Program
Mannie will be joining a robust basketball program at Cochise College, which competes in the NJCAA Division I within the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference. Led by Head Coach Jerry Carrillo, Cochise has consistently been a top-performing team, making 18 straight Region I playoff appearances. The team enjoyed a strong recent season, capturing the Region I championship and reaching the West District title game.
Coach Carrillo, who holds the record for the most wins in the program's history, is excited to have Mannie on board. “We are excited to add Mannie to our 2026 roster. He is a high-character human being that is going to fit in well with our players. We have had a lot of success with players from Australia over the last 15 years. We believe Mannie's size and strength will fit what we are trying to do with him.”
Cochise College's program is renowned for its up-tempo style of play and has been a stepping stone for many players advancing to four-year universities, with 74 players moving on under Carrillo’s leadership. Mannie's commitment to Cochise is an exciting step in his basketball pathway, backed by a strong community and a program with a proven track record.
